"Gato- Raisin" Raisin Cream Cookie Sandwich

BURUBON is a famous Japanese food company. One of my favorite snacks (among many!) from this company is "Gato- Raisin" (ガトーレーズン). It is probably French: Gateau Raisin, maybe? I don't know if I spelled this correctly :P

There is raisin and cream between the soft buttery cookies.

The package of this snack hasn't changed much. It is purple like below and with picture of these yummy cookies. Like lots of Japanese snacks, this snack isn't too sweet. Sweetness of this, based on how I feel, is raisin > cookie > cream.

A Japanese / Asian grocery store near you should sell this snack (it has to!) but if you don't find one, I found this Amazon link for you. Enjoy!

It has been chilly for the last two days but this Saturday, it suddenly hit 80s (26 Celsius) during the day. My kids and I were not dressed properly for the temperature when we went to a park and we had to escape back to home in less than one hour! Anyway, although I don't eat ice cream often, when it gets hot, I won't say no to ice cream. I am very particular about my ice cream. I like Haagen-Dazs (strawberry flavor, rum raisin flavor, vanilla flavor, almond chocolate ice cream bar) and  Tillamook (only discovered this recently and only tried strawberry flavor). I also stop by gourmet ice cream shop once a while. However, my absolute favorite ever since I was a kid is mochi  ice cream - " Yukimi-daifuku ". It direc...
